Marine Trimming & Canvas was founded in 2020 by Sam Mortimore. Located at 48 Riverside Drive in Whangarei, MTC is known as a trusted Northland workshop for replacements, repairs, and modern canvas solutions. The business is driven by repeat clients and a reputation for consistent, well-finished work.
Working with local boat owners and visiting vessels, Marine Trimming & Canvas has practical, well-finished marine upholstery solutions. Jobs are approached with a focus on fit, function, and results that looks right on the water.
Owner Sam grew up around trade work and entered the industry through family connections, learning early how to work with materials, tools, and practical problem-solving. His goal is to deliver excellent customer service and well-finished marine trimming and canvas work that performs.
Kalib has joined Sam in the workshop. He’s a qualified canvas fabricator with nearly two decades of experience. Together, they bring technical skill, attention to detail, and a practical approach to every job, from first measure through to final fit.
